I'm planning on using the Mirage setup on the 998 turbo.

I presume that I'll need to get a downpipe such as this:

and cut it to meet up with the mirage outlet.

Does anyone actually fit the bracket on the diff housing to support the exhaust?

I've just fit the diff and have to decide whether to fit the bracket or not.

Help appreciated.

Hi,
As far as I know a 2" system such as Play Mini goes straight on to the Mirage downpipe.... There's a pic on the Mirage site I've just seen.
Diff housing bracket should be fitted, there's a pic of it in FAQ/How to somewhere.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Bat,

Thanks, I didn't realise that the Mirage comes with a downpipe.

I'll fit the bracket.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

defo comes with a downpipe to mate with a normal mini exhaust.

ALTHOUGH - Is very close to Pot/hardy spicer joints. I've had to cut and weld mine to get clearance but that is hardy spicer. i will be making a new one at some point when i have more time.

i know plenty of people get away with it on pot joints though, hardy spicers are slightly rougher on the downpipe when it rubs! lol! i havent found out, honest...!

a bracket should hold the downpipe in place but be careful not to put too much strain on it as i snapped a manifold stud and put it down to this.
