Just wanted to say a big thank you to Steve and here are a few pics

The head spec is

Benross Racing Porting Matched to mainifold.
Chamber shape similar to avonbar hi boost de beaked, but with valve seats sunken 2mm more into head and roof of chamber milled out to give increased combustion chamber size whilst retaining good squish band. (Hand grinding by Benross Racing).
Chamber volume 28cc.

Minispares stainless steel race valves 36.5mm x 29.5mm
New bronnze valve guides, centralisers, minispares 185 lb springs and spring shimmed 2mm due to sunken seats.

11 Stud conversion.
Leaded.
Repainted

Valve seats recut and ground in.

Its a fantastic job and really was well worth the money, Steve did the manifold and elbow too

All in all an excellent level of work man ship, and finishing. Standard as good as you would expect from all the big tuners.

I'm really happy with it. *smiley* Many thanks Steve and thanks for all the advice and edis bits. *smiley*

Cheers

Brocky

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Did I read not got unleaded seats in? Take it your building a low millage motor then, either that or there is a better supply of decent addative where you are than here!!!!!!

I normally use Castrol Valvemaster Plus but it;s getting really hard to find in Cheltenham!!

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

nice work steve! - top work.

perhaps think about starting it as a business? I'm sure work like that would sell easily.

Yep its certainly is a cracking job, Steve did the manifold and elbow at the same time, ports were taken out to the turbo gasket.

You'd have to ask steve about how much was done inside, but it looks like a lot...to make up for the 36.5mm inlet

Roger M

I will be using tetra boost I think. Just using the redex stuff at the moment.

Hoping to do some sprints and hill climbs, won't be my daily driver, but might take in when its dry, more of a summer car really

Cheers

If its LRP I would be cautious, as if it uses potasium instead of lead its not good for the turbo, or so I heard ??Might be wrong though...

Tetra boost is recond to actually turn unleaded into leaded. And the more you put in the higher the octane*smiley* Not cheap though.
