Hi Guys

I fitted some taper roller wheel bearings to the front of my mini and they have only done a couple of thousand miles and there is alot of play in them.

I think I recall when I fitted them there was a spacer that went in between the inner races, and I think it said something about reducing this if there was to much play ie to much top to bottom rock on the wheel if the ball joints are ok.

Could anyone advise on the following??

1). Can I just remove the spacer as the taper should self locate and not pull through when you torque it up or ?

2). Should I machine a couple of thou of them and put them back in

3). How much play is too much play ?

Cheers Brocky

Worrying about MOT or should I just see if it fails on it ?

BTW - I took my buddy VTEC Pete out for a spin this weekend, and even though I am running her in, he gave it a name, the "Brocket"...cause I'm a brocket maaannn, nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah....
