O/T Renault Espace head gasket change

As in the title, i ned to change the head gasket on a renault espace RT 2068cc turbo diesel.

question is, how involved is this to do?

Does it involve re-timing the engine? I'm struggling to see if i need to or not or if there might be any other hidden issues to changing it?

I've done numerous head gaskets on minis and other stuff so i'm fairly competent, just don't want to agree to do it if its gonna be a pain in the arse?

Hi,
It's a pain in the arse. The half of the heater under the bonnet has to come out as you can't lift the head up with it there. (The bolts are a pain to get to)
If you've got air con this'll need degassing and regassing after.
As for the timing I don't know as luckily I didn't have to do the engine work, only the AC
It took a reasonable mechanic a couple of days to do the job start to finish.
