can i change the rear subby trunion bushes without removing the subby? cheers chaps, i know i can do the rears trunions but what about the ones that nxt to the heelboard

Never done it (on the car), but I would think it would be possible. You would have to remove the radius arms to give access to the bolt that hold the bushes in though!

TBH It could take longer, than removing it?



This bolt is a bitch to get to with the subby off (especially if its corroded!) *wink*

Hi,
As they're usually siezed in you'll need to turn the bolt to free it. That'll be difficult with it being right next to the heel board.

its a subby off job really then! its one of the jobs that may habe to wait then, i just thought someone may know a cheeky method of changing them without taking the subby off

hi all...

im in the proces of restoring my mini, so replacing everything i can... i bought a complete kit of poly bushes for front and rear subframe.(from what i read, seems like it was not the best option) any, how many bushes does the rear subframe need, and where do they go? and what do they look like? is it 6 for the back?

any help greatly apreciated.

Post 76 cars had 6 bushes, pre 76 had 8.

What's not the best option? buying the whole kit, or using polly bushes?

My front sub is solid mount and I tend to get the seam sealer on the wing/scuttle joints cracking a lot. Is there a corelation?

Are your teardrops solid too, as this might cause the cracking.
