Been thinking about putting a rollcage in my van, as I can't see it being anywhere near as stiff as a saloon. So has anyone fitted one? Should I attempt make one myself or have one made?
Cheers for your thoughts,
Mark

Well i would think you would need to have one made.

A. Beacuse im pretty sure you cant buy a van sized cage off the shelf!

B. Because off the shelf cages are generaly crap and dont make the shell much stiffer

Hi,
Nic .. You're right! I've got a Roll Centre cage for my estate. It's a modified van cage.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Hi,
It's still in the garage, unfitted, and the cars not seen the road yet :(
I would have thought the van shell to be a bit more sturdy than the estate, but then people have told me a cage in a saloon makes a big difference ...
Cheers,
Gavin :)

I agree with that, i saw it, it was a beautiful bit of engineering, soo much more than a cage, it was all on boxes, integrated pedal box, internal anti roll bar, all the suspension pick up points were fixed to the cage, it had a spine up the centre of the car with a gearchange box over it.

I didn't work on it myself as he did it around christmas time but it amazed me.

You wont get a better cage, anywhere.

Mark Wanstall of Rightline Motorsport a top gent, spoke to him for a good 5-10 minutes, gave me some genuine answers to my questions, polite very impressed when answering a cold sales enquiry. Explained to me what he could do etc. Basicially its a bespoke solution to my buget, which I would need to work out, but looks like £750-1000.

Spoke to Rollcenter, chap answered questions but seemed a none telephone man if you get me but then they must receive loads of calls from Chavs in Corsa's.

Thanks chaps will speak to Rightline (07767611591) again me thinks when I have a buget to work with.
