Here is how it happened.... During a routine (or at least is should have been routine) oil change.... My drop light fell into the engine bay right behind the oil cooler in the left front of the engine. Needless to say it burnt a hole in the steel braided hose that connects to the oil pressure sending unit around the area of the dizzy. Now this line goes all the way around the engine and dissappears underneath the exhaust manifold.... I assume it goes to the Turbo.

I did not realize there was a hole in the line.... So I fired "Rowan" up just to see 4 liters of nice clean Synthetic Oil shoot out of this hole and saturate the engine bay, Flood a low spot in the driveway, collect in every nook and cranny around the engine.

So some Questions...
#1 What is this hose and Where does it go?
#2 Is this available through Avonbar or another supplier?
#3 What is the Part Number and where can I source a New Intake/Exhaust Maniford Gasket for a 1293 Metro Turbo?
#4 What is the best way to clean the oil out of the engine bay without pulling the entire lump?

Your help and expertise is much appreciated.

Avonbar will supply all the parts you need, give them a call.

As for getting it clean, engine degreaser and a jetwash are your best weapons.

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

that presumably is your oil feed to the turbo

Avonbar sell them and a few other stockists, so to does iain on here, orif you take it off you may be able to get one made up in the usa from a supplier that does braided hoses. Make sure you get a braided hose though

another option would be a parafin gun on a compressor, though i think id rather use something like gunk, or other similar degreaser) on it

Im not getting any response from Avonbar via Email... And I think I have exhausted all the sources in the US that I can think of.

Off of Avonbar's Website... Can anybody tell me what the part numbers are for the braided hose for the Turbo and the correct manifold gasket?

Why don't you just take off the old one and take it to your nearest race shop or Hydraulic place and get them to make you one.

Try this place, You would need an AN3 hose, and banjo adaptors for both ends but I am not sure what sizes. I'm pretty sure this would come out cheaper than shipping one from UK.

But as others said if you go to a local speedshop they should be able to help as well.

If the hole in the hose was by the starter motor, the majority of the oil would of only gone over the clutch housing and the front of the block wouldn't it?

If this is the case I would of thought you could get away with just wiping it down around the worst area's with a cloth and a mild degreaser.
