Does anyone know if there is anything special about metro turbo gearboxes?

The A-series I have is supposed to have a turbo gearbox, I've got the box off the block so can look inside now - is there anything I should be looking for to check and is there any advantage to having one?

The big end bearing i beleive is the only difference. i think thats what its called isnt it. the one on idler gear. And also the crown wheel and pinon are 3.2 ratio.

Have i got this right guys. Can anyone put me right/

thats the one i got confused the big end bearings are conrod ones arent they.

I dont think Rover would have called it a 'Nose' bearing*tongue* LOL, but it was Rover so you never really know*laughing*

i thought rover did something to the diff pin on the metty turbo boxes for some reason or other but this bkfired and made it weaker as a result

am i talkin bs?
just got that impression dunno how or why
