Hi all,

Just got back from Mikeanics Motorsport in Congleton, having had the car setup with the new intercooler in place.
This has been my third visit to Mike, and I have been very pleased with his service.

Things have gone well today. The boost hasn't been changed, and is still 15psi, however with some changes to the fuelling side of things along with my cooler charge air temps provided by the new front mount intercooler, we have seen some useful bhp and torque increases.

What has really put the icing on the cake is the way the power is delivered now, it comes with such a hard pull as it comes on boost, and the noise the engine now makes is insane, it absolutely screams on boost! *happy* Not one to blow my own whistle, but needless to say I'm chuffed to bits!

(BTW I went in with 151 BHP and 157 lb ft)

So with no increase in boost, I now have 157 BHP @ 5696 RPM and.... 170 lb ft Torque! Its the new torque that has made the difference, 170 lb ft is a great result for me B)

Heres my graphs (unfortunately the print is very light, but you can just make it out! :S )

This is the 157 BHP graph...

And 170 lb ft ....

I will be moving to a decent management system soon, when I'm ready for more power.

For now though, its plenty quick enough for me ^_^

That's loads of curly wirlies .... your gearbox must hate you.

Sounds like it'd be awesome to drive. Makes me wish I'd not scraped the pile of rust that was roughly metro turbo shaped .... well maybe a just a little.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

touting for business again Steve....

LOL

If I had the time to wait you'd be having mine but as there is no time for the royal snail to get it to you and back I'm going to have to do it myself!

No slip as yet, although I've only been driving it with the new power since yesterday. Fingers crossed it holds...

Cheers mate!

I've not driven in the damp yet, but I can safely say i wouldn't be putting much more power than a 1.0L micra on the floor, as it already scrambles for grip :)
