After removing the door pockets, I wasn't amused with the way the door pillar was secured to the inner sill.

A cage will be going in, but I reckon if I can stiffen up the shell with a couple of small bits of sheet steel, it would be foolish not too. Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:

That gap on my Mk1 is about 2-3". I dont worry about it.
I seriously doubt it! |
