I am in the process of welding together an exhaust for the metro, and was wondering if anyone had made there own exhausts. I was thinking of putting a flexible piece in at the bottom of the downpipe, to take the place of where the ball is on a standard exhaust. Just in the hope that it will last for a bit longer.

Does anyone know where i might get such a thing, and also any good places to get pre bent exhaust pipe, as i have nearly run out of all the free bits from work.

Thanks
Luke

Flexible sections are common place in some modern cars. Try to fit it so that it only has to deal with movement in one axis.

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Jetex do a very good range of bends in both mild and stainless ... many places stock their stuff but in case you can't find it locally to you may I recomend Merlin Motorsport

Are you looking for braided flex joints like this? http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/serv...10002_759786_-1

Or are you just looking for flexible pipe like what is listed on Merlins site?

Yeah thats exactly the type of flexi that i was looking for, just need to find the same in the uk now....

I think that it will look a bit better with this type of joint rather than just the flexible hose.
