i think -31 is 15psi but not sure. But im sure you can change the springs in those collins ones. If it fits an rs turbo it should in theory fit a mini t3, only problem might be clearance as those ones are quite big iirc. |

go for a 8 psi actuator and bleed the signal off for further boost

Agree with benross, im using a standard rs turbo actuator (if my car ever gets finished) which i think is 8psi and is identical to the standard mini/metro one. |

Ok thanks for the sound advice, i have the standard metro actuator at the moment, and an MBC, just wondered if its work going for an uprated item. |

so for instance it better to have a 12psi / 15psi actuator if thats what i want to run? rather than bleed it off? |

well there are swings and roundabouts to this and many ways to plumb things in as most would agree!

better to have an actuator near what boost you want to run as it will hold boost nicer than say a standard metro one with loads bled off |

I agree with Steve .... go for about 8psi as that is sensible for day to day then use a plunger and spring type mbc as they only open when you get to the setting you want rather than constantly trying to bleed off. This means the boost rises better and gives more mid range.
Every day is a school day ...........

Im running a standard 1275 and I have a metro actuator and a bleed valve to achieve constant 8psi.

-31 actuators will give 8psi with about a 1mm preload. Trust me i did it last week. I also know they will boost 28psi+. The only problem is the springs are so strong it's difficault to hook them over the wast gate (on a mini). I make the rod adjustable.
