Hi,
I folded the lip on the front panel (the one behind thr grill) flat and bolted it there. There's an angled brace panel available (factory fit on old coopers) to replace the one you cut out.
Not got a pic to hand.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

mines on the o/s inner wing. doesn't get a massive amount of airflow but seems to do the job. after fitting it, at the end of a decent motorway run i'd got 10psi more hot idle oil pressure than before i had the cooler.

im sure you have been told this but that engine bay is tidy bud!! very nice.

have you run it all in yet?

i think its definatly worth a oil cooler with a thermostat, that way you carnt go wrong can you! when you fit it make sure you fill the cooler it self with oil as it would drop a bit i would think the first time the thermostat opens!

cheers

Depends how much you need to cool the oil really, if it needs alot of cooling then it would be benaficial to fit it in a place in good air flow (behind the grill is the best bet in between the oil filter housing and banjo fitting on the block.

Just fitting one in general will help regardless of where it is.
