my wifes heard a rumour that you need 6 months left on a paasport after you return to the uk,
i told her its rubbish, why have a ten year passport if its only good for 9 1/2 years,
has anyone god good info on this subject, she's worried as only women can,

Hi,
With the rediculous rules and regulations we have in this country wouldn't surprise me. If you were a terrorist your forged passport would have more than 6 months left to run wouldn't it! LOL

I think entry into the US/Canada requires a minimum of 6 months left on your passport, with regards to their visa waver from.

European travel I think there’s no restriction.

I returned back from Switzerland on an expired passport with no bother once.

There are quite a few countries that stipulate you must have 6 months left on your passport to enter their country.

Yes country specific so I am told by my missus who travels a bit.

I've not held a passport since 1999 ... makes sense for me else I'd never be in the country as work would have me all over the place! I hate travelling .... though

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

yup, they're right, some countries need sixth months but the EU doesnt at all.

Basically if you need a visa or cisa exemption your likely to need 6 months left.

If you let me know which country i can tell you.

Get about a bit! lol!

When myself and the missus booked up our hols this year they asked if we would have 6 months remaning upon return, and we are staying in europe for both?

dont get caught out, just got mine back
