We thermal barrier coated a pair at work, a few years back with zircoa for ferrari,as they were having problems with the electrics overheating.

possible, sure he said it was titanium.. could be wrong, inconel, that the nickel-based alloy right?

That is a video of an Arrows A22 of 2001 vintage with V10 Asiatech. In some ways a lovely bit of kit and in others a complete dog. It's the samr tub super aguri used last year with the years after gearbox (A23).

Mike Barratt (aka MBE) showed me a video of the 1500 turbo F1 engine he had been building, fook me that thing had power and got fooking hot too!
