Was dicking around on solidworks today, and came up with my design for the joining pipe between manifold and turbo for a clutch housing mounted turbo.

What you should make, is two pipes that allow the standard turbo to be fitted over the clutch housing. That means one pipe from the turbo exh manifold to the turbo, and one from the turbo and down. This means you can easily fit the standard stuff WO fitting a bulkhead box. You'd sell hundreds! On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |

Yeah was looking at the Mpi ex manifold, but was really holding out for a turbo one with a neater flange, has anyone got any pics of one?

just added a mock up manifold to see what it would look like attached. I'll try to do a basic turbo to stick on the other end.

That looks wicked, it would be great if some one started making a manifold like this and making them for sale.

Chappers, don't want to piss on your Bonfire but that manifold will not fit on any Mini. The turbo would be situated right at the end of the crank / engine mount area.

No Jason ... not jealous .... just trying to help. I had a mate that built a custom hot-rod that was laughed at when it went for inspection!
