what should the draw be from the battery, tested mine and it was 34 miliamps this ok, battery goes dead if cut off switch left on

I had a prob with a car recently, and after disconnecting the remote starter, got it down to just under 0.1 amps - but that is a modern car with several ECU's controlling various things.
If you have an ECU (ms or similar), then the permanent live could be taking a tiny amount, but otherwise, you should be on zero amps...

Hi,
Anymore than 50 you're in trouble. Ideally less than 25mA.
Have you tried it with all the fuses pulled out, then put them back 1 at a time til you isolate whats drawing?

Things like stereos and clocks will always take some current, and a bit of leakage to ground would be expected on an older car. Not got any measuring stuff with me. But if I remember I measure mine next week.
