Hi peeps.
I am Pants with electronics! but this is what i want to do.. I have a electric fuel pump which is going in the boot, it will have a ignition possitive running to it but i want to put my own switch in (that bits easy) I would however like a warning light but not to tell me when its on but when its OFF. So i want a two possition switch with it in the on possition i want the fuel pump running and in the off i want a warning light and then when the ignition is switch off it will all be off. make sense?

Thanks
Alex.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

you should really use a relay for it.

plus get an inertia switch off a ford (for example) and fit that inline. then when/if you have a bump, it switches the fuel pump off.

Hi,
If you connect the warning light to the power feed into the switch (you don't really want an ignition feed) and the other side of the W/L to the wire going to the fuel pump.
That should to what you want.
As Iain said you really should use a relay, fit an inertia switch and I personally would use a fuel pump relay so that the pump only runs when cranking or running the engine.
Cheers,
Gavin :)
