Doesn't save only save the file on to your computer? I would have thought you need to upload the file using the "write ignition configuration". I haven't used the program in anger yet, so I am just guessing. |

My money's on the USB adapter. I had a similar problem with the comms timing out, but I've recently gone to V3.2.1 with the latest firmware and it's fine now - no comms issues whatsoever. Just to confirm what you're doing is right, the three buttons, from left to right, are Read from controller (onto the computer screen), Write to controller (but not "saved"), and Commit to Flash (effectively "Save") - the one with the chip icon. Only after you've been able to successfully click this button will the new map remain on the controller after you cycle the power. |

Have you set the buffers for COM6 to zero and set the baud rate? Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

Apologies, but if you are using Megajolt you need to be semi literate in puters. Quote from the MS site: "You may have to play with the USB adapter settings in Windows for the adapter to get it to work (see Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager). If there is a 'buffer' setting, set it as low as you can (often 1 or 0). Make sure that your com port settings are correct for your serial port or your USB/serial cable. For example, change the baud rate (under 'start/Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager/Ports (COM & LPT)') to 4800" Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."
