London.

Ive got my carb in bit's, so thought i'd clean the carb up.
But it's still not that great.
Is there someonething that i could use to make it look like new ?
Or could i spray it with high temp aluminium paint ?
Thank's.

Sorry if this has come up, but had no joy in the search :)

Hi,
No reason why you can't, it's just that paint doesn't stick to alli that well.
Aqua blasting will make it look like a new one though *wink*
Cheers,
Gavin :)

I know some one who boiled their carbs with rhubarb, they came out spotless (apparently it's and old house wives trick for cleaning alloy saucepans) however it took a while to get the bits of rhubarb out of the carbs.

LOL .... citric acid based cleaners work just as well .... but don't make such a tasty crumble!

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

when i drove a 10" wheeled Mini last it felt insane !

I've found Mr Muscle oven cleaner to be fantastic for decoking pistons.
