7's should be OK for what you want.

Same here. I find the 7's foul quite easily on my motor when pottering round town.
You'll be fine running 6's. My mate Mike has always run NGK 6's without any trouble and he's run higher boost than most other people will ever do.

Hi,
My N/A 1380 loves 7s.
I think your compression ratio is going to be the key here.
The people having 7s fouling are running lower comp engines.... Go on someone will blow my theory out the water now *wink*
Cheers,
Gavin :)

hi

I belive that the numbers maily mean how hot the spark is.

I bleive that the higher the number the lower the heat is that they develop but dont hold me to it

when i drove a 10" wheeled Mini last it felt insane !

I'm running B8EVX plugs and they work great. They have a recessed electrode. In my opinion that should decrease the hot spot that a plug with a protuding electrode creates.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i've got 8's i think with a retracted nose, from a escort RS turbo.

Mine are gapped at 32 thou running wasted spark and i've had no problems yet.

I blew the electrode clean off a 7 (possibly a 6) on the RR!

The heat number refers to how much heat the lugs can dissipate into the head. They difference is the size of the nose/insulator..

Problem with having a higher number/smaller nose is that they can foul up much easier.

I run 7's and they are a pain in the ass in the winter, trying to get the car warm enough to run without fouling a plug is almost impossible. I usually end up running on 3 until its warm then I can clean up the plug and get it going properly.

Ha ha, now i know what the true meaning of the numbers are.

Do you find with the bigger insulators that they will burn out alot faster?
