Hello guys

Just wanted your opinions

I am currently fitting an up graded verto pressure plate.

I'm only running 8psi so I am sticking with the verto just now.

Would it be worth getting a couple of mm machined off the lugs on the FW where the pressure plate bolts to or not ?( I have it off the car at the moment )

I know this works for the pre verto but does it follow for the verto or is there an intrinsic difference that wouldn't allow this ?

Cheers *smiley*

I believe that you gain similar advantages with the verto as the pre-verto.

Machine the lugs so that the spring is flat when fitted up.

i think you may find that it can be a different amount off the posts for each combination ,best thing to do is put a packing in between the driven plate and the cover ,then bolt it all up and see if the spring is flat ,do this till you have the right thickness of packing ,then take that much off the posts ,in my case it was 2 mm off the posts to achieve flatnosity .
