My Engine! 99% finished just some small jobs to do. :)

Been busy working on the engine lately, all in now, but still need to fix the intercooler at the top, DV and MJLJ vac pipes to add.

Still have the dash and some of the lights, flasher unit etc to wire :( and after reading the Haynes i still have no clue ..*tired* i hope it will all come together soon before the good weather goes!

Hope you like the latest update, comments welcome.

Cheers, Mark.

Cheers Richie, Nope rad is from a metro, the thinner version.. a mk1 i think.

would have been very tricky with a servo, do you really need it?

Thats nice, is that intercooler big enough!!

It is a mk1 metty rad, but its the thicker of the two,

the mk2 rad is thinner and has one outlet at the flywheel end*wink*

what wheels are you running, I remember being inquisitive at christmas time on the snow towing thread.

I really liked them.

Thanks

thanks mark, about 6 - 8 psi for a while, as the diff and drops are standard (yeah i know.. not good), however i have both a x pin diff and straight cut drops to be fitted soon so i can crank the boost up a bit.

I like nice quiet girly Minis

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

That is a really tidy install. I've seen show winning cars with worse bays than that (the green 8 port in Mini world a couple of months back .... with spagetti wiring anybody???)

Should be proud mate.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

mk 1 metro rad is proberly the best front mounted rad to fit, the are a lot more efficiant than the mk2, with plenty of capcity.

Looks excellent mate, how have you attatched the ultimate engine steady if you cut the bulkhead? Anyone got that rad in a round nose?

you have to make another bracket on the bulkhead to accommodate it, think i used another engine steady bracket upside down and bolted that to the right slightly..

I saw someones car recently fitted with a servo who ran the ic pipe over the reservoir cant remember who though, this might help my first turbo.

That was mine.

It's not a good idea to go accross there though. 50mm Id hoses foul the bonnet slightly.

Mine now go along the bulkhead and then between the inner wing and the servo. You can keep the bonnet stay as well!

In the 13's at last!.. Just
