Ello,

Can I have some opinions on this end tank please,*happy*

Do you think is big enough? its at the outlet (cold) end of intercooler, the outlet pipe is 2" and the end tank is a peice of 3" tube cut in half and squeezed down th the 2 3/4" of the intercooler.

basically I can't decide if its going to be a bit tight with regards to airflow, I'm thinking the tube should funnel a bit more where it meets the end tank, but on the other hand is it worth the effort as it is a 2" pipe so is pretty large...

oh and this is were the end tank will plumb to if that helps...

Hi,
Looks good, the curve will help direct the airflow better than a square tank *wink*
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Well thats good enough for me!!

Cheers guys,*smiley*

I'll put as good a radius on the pipe to end tank joint as i practically can and weld it all up, luckally the other end should be easier as I think i can put the pipe in from the top.

thanks once again.

Looks good. It looks VERY mush like the core from the E36 with the Turbodiesel engine.

Ah, I just checked the ebay auction for it, it says E46, I hadn't noticed that until now.*blush*

could be E36 with a typo?

heres a not very good pic with the original end caps...

Its possible it might go in but the end tanks are a bit of a funny shape, TBH I reckon anyone running a 5 port is better to stick in the tried and trusty 2wd coosie intercooler, easier to find and probably cheaper, I was ripped of with a whopping 50 quid for this cooler!!

Anyway, just chucked the other end on... not terribly proud of the welding *blush* but it seems to be air tight*smiley*

when its cooled down i'll bolt it in and take another pic.
