Hi,
I'd say, having not seen a MK1 dizzy module, that it's an external ignition amp for an aftermarket ECU.
Whereas Mega Jolt and the like have them built in, some have external ones.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Well where the arrow is on the dizzy.
There's a wire coming out of the dizzy. not sure where it goes as im not home, so cant look. is this meant to have a wire coming out. what is a megabolt.
do they fit where your dizzy goes ?

Mk1 turbo dizzy is a ducelier, not a Lucas (Mk2 dizzy). The module is also remote from the dizzy, unlike the Mk2.

Giallofly has a Mk1 dizzy, so maybe he'll be able to give more info / clarification.

How much detail you want?

This link explains it better than most:

If it's too detailed let me know and I'll try and write something, although I'm too knackered to write something at the moment.

Auto Sports Labs sell both kit and ready made units

http://www.autosportlabs.com/product_info....c667a3cc7743899

There are several people in the UK that build them and sell them, have a look in the for sale section :)

Or if you good at electronics you could always build one from scratch and save yourself a fair few quid.

I started off with a map I found on line for a similar spec engine, retarded it a bit for safety and then drove around with the laptop tweaking the map till I was happy with it. Obviously the less risky approach is to go down to a rolling road and work with them to create a map.
