I have just been trying to source some paint for the mini and stock up a bit before it's banned, What is the differences between 2 pack and cellulose, and which is better for home spraying?

Also does anyone know of any suppliers in the Dorset area?

thanks

Never sprayed 2pc heard its good. Just make sure everythings clean & free of contamination, or you end up with fish eyes everywhere like synthetic! Had good results with cellulose...its forgiving. Don't think many people use it nowadays. Any runs easy enough to flat off or polish out.
Just don't spray it on synthetic paint.....found out the hard way once :(

Hi,
2pk contains cyanide (sp?) You'll need an air fed mask before even considering using it.
I knew people who have died of "2pk poisioning"

Cellulose it is then.

Will the paint spray over the standard paint with no issues about reacting? obviously i'll primer the car all over anyway.

Thanks

I used 2k and found it pretty easy to spray with.

Here's some pics of my first ever spray: job:

However like Bat says it's nasty stuff (apparently water base paint is meant to be even worse for your health) I wouldn't think about using it with out an airmask connected to a separate compressor a fair way from the spray booth.

2pack is sooooo much nicer to spray than celly.

But as people have said its not good for you or anyone around you!

I wouldn't worry about stocking up - by the sounds of things water based paints won't be as bad as people are saying...
