In my last house, my gas boiler was crap.

Gas pressure to the house can vary depending on the proximity to the nearest district govenor, these are normally set to ouput at about 30-45milibar. The output is set so that an extremity point on the system never falls below 17milibar which is the lowest recomended domestic pressure (although can go lower). Therefore your supply can be between these ranges. The pressure through the meter may drop again as newer ones have regulators inside.

I'm just wary of the fuckers coming out and charging me £60 to adjust the regulator into the meter.......I'll ring them and see what they say I suppose.

If its a problem with their equipment, and your more than clever enough to work out whats going on when they are doign the work, the local distributors will pay. However, im not 100% sure of where the responsability ends nowerdays, it used to be at the meter but may have changed possibly to the land boundary?? I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

Just call a local corgi engineer. He can adjust the pressure at the meter with the gas suppliers permission. Should be at 20mbar. On 19th Jan, 2010 wil_h said:
