Doing my first gearbox rebuild and after inspection I found a crack starting to appear from one of the bolt holes in the centre web.

I would put that in the bin... Its only a bit of metal. If it blows it blows!

i would not use that
there is nothing wrong with a A-series that a turbo can't fix.

Fit for scrap and nothing else, gearbox casings are easy enough to come by to make it not worth using a duff'un.

Make sure when you find another case that it has the 3 bolt bearing retainer like the one you have there, the 4 bolt cases snap easily with high power. |

Throw it in the bin. Don't use it on an original 850 either. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
