well am sick as fook, thats it had enough ! cant effing afford this sh** no more ! mini is going into storage its 1 step forward and six back !!!!!! a rear screen which was in a rack on me garage roof, and has been there for about 15 years appears to have magik'd itself onto me car and f****d it ! the bonnet is a total loss as the gell coat is gone and the weave is now showing, and there is a sweet gash in the top of me wing ! I cant f*****g believe this.........wont be able to afford a re spray for like 12months now, I have just totally had enough. then if that wasnt enough, i was taking a T3 off some manifolds for "Racing is for life" (Richie) and the fecking stud snapped so there is a refund via paypla to sort out too !

Yep, I know the feeling, I have 2 projects on the go and the race car, 2 steps forward and 6 back seems to be the norm.

Ahh bad luck buddy. Im wih Bat just keep going. You could always drive it like that and fix it when you can afford to. Although i know some people out their wont let their car see daylight unless its perfect |

That's a nightmare, i hate it when things like that happen. Have a beer and a week off from thinking about the car, then get cracking again. I've a spare (metal) bonnet you can have to keep you going and the wing can be fixed for less then £100.

Mine was about that old when the wind blew the drivers door back and the front edge some how touched the A panel. About a week later the bonnet got scratched really badly when it fell upside down on rough tarmac. Now I have rust hanging out of every panel again so it's done the full circle. i'm adopting the fact that exteriour paint dont matter too me any more, if its structually sound i say balls to the paint finish (my personal thing though) i'm adopting a "mick wilks" attitude, "power not to paint" either through ya own accidentel fault, some other fckwits the paint gets damaged & its a pisser

That's terrible! Happened to me once as well. Just finished my Mini, parked it on my parents' driveway, 5 mins later my father came home and parked his Volvo 940 in the back of my Mini: a few white stripes on the Volvos front and a 10 cm shorter Mini.... |

Just looking to re-shell now, havnt got the time!! its just a top sill and possibly an over "bottom sill" unless the rest of the shell is goosed ?
