got it running but running shit cant put it off choke with out it cutting out and when rev it has that dieing sound before it picks up is it just a case of playing with the dizzy and the mixture. its right in at the mo the mixture and running ruff going to put a new set of plugs in case think i fucked the last ones with turning it over and messing around any ideas be good cheers

compression should be right but whats the best way to check. Timings out but not a million miles away but running to ruff to tune that just about runs with out choke but soon as you rev it cuts out i put a new needle and spring in the carb could this have something to do is it a part of me still thinks its fuel related got the mixed right in and get some new plug any other ideas

if the mixture screws right in then its rich as fook and more than likely won't be helping things.

another tip is to use a bit of punctuation, i got bored before i got to the end of that blurb and stopped reading *wink*

i got the same thought cos when i first trying to get it going air looked like coming out the seems when blowing carb out any ideas for this apart from new carb? seeming to get a high pressure build up in the water aswell

Never heard of an actual carb with an air leak. I was thinking more along the lines of gaskets / pipes....

Pipes are good i was thinking like on the rev and on the choke is there seals on there. Had another look at it. Runs a bit better, but still isnt right and had a play with the mixture screw seems to work better screwed in more. I had a standard BDD neadle in (thicker at end) and i put in a BCA neadle (thin at the end). Makes sense lets more fuel through. Anyone had to do much changing neadles. I'm really running out of ideas going to try put it back the way it was and try it. defo carb and wont run off choke and strugles to rev. Runs better without the pipe attached which goes from the front of the dashpot to the left hand side of the dashpot at the top. I keep hereing about this butterfly in the carb anyone explain where it is and what it needs to be like?
