Ive decided to rid my clubby estate of its chrome bumpers in favor of some black ones... So i'm going to paint my existing ones...

Whats the best way to prep the chrome suface for paint? Recomendations, Tip etc?

p150 wet and dry or p180
then
prime them and then rub that down with p600 wet and dry and apply the colour

ahh cool as easy as that... i'll go get me some primer and black paint then and give it a go..

Hi,
Before priming it wipe it over with some thinners or something to get it really clean. Make sure you flat the edges too as this is where the paint will start to lift off later on.

Just a thought; if they are any good have you considered selling them and getting some pitted but straight ones to paint? Just would seem a shame if yours were really good to paint them as they are getting rare now.

you can buy em new now from minispares Tom...not cheap though admittedly.

i might black my rear one as it's pitted to fuck, need some black windscreen seal inserts aswell.
