wont drive on boost

the engines been running for about 2 weeks now, but have only driven it over the last couple of weekends, at first everything was fine, at 6/7 psi felt plenty fast enough before setting up and i was over the moon, if i could ignore the very small amount of blue smoke :)

then last Sunday i was out and might have had a bit of a play with an st24 (much to his disappointment) and the car drove perfect after that, until i got about 4 houses away from my house and then it wouldn't boost at all and sounded like a misfire (the exact sound is when an a-series has blown the head gasket between 2 and 3) so i pulled in at my house, everything looked ok, i drove about half a mile then parked it up in my garage, took the head off the day after and the gasket had gone where i thought, head has now been skimmed and fitted back ok and now it ticks over perfect and drives ok, apart from boost, theres none, it sounds like it is spooling up, but the boost gauge doesn't go above 0, unless you let off the accelerator and then you can hear the turbo stall (no dump valve and solid throttle disk and poppet blocked) and the boost shows 6/7 psi. it has no power above 3000 rpm at all. i think it is the turbo thats gone, but before i get new one i would like a second opinion.. the amount of blue smoke has increased also, mostly when letting off the accelerator, say coming off the bypass..

sorry the story's a bit long winded but i thought anything might add some help in locating the problem:)

think i have found the problem this morning, i took the air pipe off the turbo, to feel for play in the shaft, and it looked like it had callapsed and had been sucked in, restricting it, tried it for one run without and now runs 4 psi, and revs much free-er, lol no play in the shaft at all, will get new air pipe on tuesday, think i have an air leak somewhere else now tho.

yep, smokes cleared up, tho the guy in the scoobie said it smokes alot (he was obviusly behind me to know this:):)
