How do you get the gearbox side idler gear bearing out? Do I need a special tool? |

do a search mate theres a few methods all been covered before. no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

clean well the place in oven at 200 deg for about 20 mins then it will fall out always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas |

done it... hammer and drift would not shift it... managed to find a beefy washer that was the "perfect" size to get behind it. attached a bolt and hit it... was out with a couple of taps...

If you plain drift this bearing out it normally scores the bore the bearing sits in, its therefore far better (if you plan on re-using the case) to heat the area with a blow torch for a few mins before removing the bearing. You'll find the bearing will literally just fall out when you are at the right temp. I've seen the future and tbh its Pie
