How do you get the gearbox side idler gear bearing out? Do I need a special tool?

by clean he means spotless!!!

If you send everybody else in the house out to the pub on your shout you might just get it done, and get rid of the smell before they get home.

Hi,
I don't think he'll get the whole g/box in the oven, unless it's a very big oven *wink*

done it... hammer and drift would not shift it... managed to find a beefy washer that was the "perfect" size to get behind it. attached a bolt and hit it... was out with a couple of taps...

cheers guys

Near Daventry, midlands

If you plain drift this bearing out it normally scores the bore the bearing sits in, its therefore far better (if you plan on re-using the case) to heat the area with a blow torch for a few mins before removing the bearing. You'll find the bearing will literally just fall out when you are at the right temp.

I've seen the future and tbh its Pie
