This is not yet connected to my car, i am just going through the instrustion on how to get to know my megajolt. I have done a search though their is similar issues, i am still not sure. I have gone through the process and my screen which is the configurator V3.2.1 - no file loaded has no numbers and still says could not open port. i have bought a serial - usb cable. I have gone into device manager/serial ports which states prolific usb-serial com port (Com9). still says could not open port. Any suggestions gratefully recieved. thanks |

com port you mean which usb port, or do you mean 9600 changed to 4800 which i have done. i have just downloaded version 3.1.1 still no change |

In configurator V3.2.1 select tools then configuration options and try a few different values for the com port, mine changes depending which USB port I plug my adaptor into. Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:

If you go to the device manager you can see what port it's chosen to assign it's self too. I created a short cut to the device manager on the desktop to make this easier (I can't remember how but I googled "device manager shortcut") |

I'm sure you need to use the same version of sofware as firmware in the MJ. Cheers, Gavin :) spot on dude, i have changed the com port by loading up the version 3.2.1 going into tools/confirguration options then changing the com port. Then clicked on get ignition and now have lots of numbers. cheers guys top banana
