Tryed car to day first i could only get revise then with lot of push and pulling found all the gears, but it seems hard and before that i thought i had selected a gear, but could hear a spining noise like had not quiet gone in and wasnt engaging. Its really weird is it anything to do with the cluch not working. It seems easy to push! i thought that was down to springs. Does is cleanace any different cos i followed the 6.5mm out the book. thanx

I tried the car today, at first I could only select reverse, then with alot of pushing and pulling I could select all of the gears, although it seems hard.
Before this it felt like I was selecting a gear, but could hear a 'spinning' noise as if it wasnt fully engaged.

Its really wierd, is it anything to do with the clutch not working?
It seems easy depress the clutch pedal!

I thought that was down to springs (the diaphram?).

Does clearance make any difference, because I followed the 6.5mm as it states in the book.

Thanks

Hi,
If the pedal is easy to press it could well be a hydraulics problem.
Knackered master or slave cylinder?
Just needs more bleeding?
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.
