back groung-
right my problem.... its been missing quite resently on boost (mainly coming on boost) then ok there after (getting worse over time)...but since yesterday its been missing on boost. (full stop) doesnt sound like a lean out, checked all the usual stuff like fuel pressure, fuel pressure rising on boost well as much on boost as i can get it ...it does rise so i think i am ok all here. there is no leaks (apart from a little oil but that doesnt matter atm lol) t-peice trick done variouse ways lol (dont ask), also lean of pipe blocked no difference made

also for reference i know it runs on boost even if the fuel pressure does not rise but doesnt boost for long ie till the float bowl is empty (because like a twat i tried it *blush* did not let it empty tho so i still have pistons)

any way on my home from work i thought about a turbo motor needind stronger sparks to whack the a/f in to burn and thinking mine is running points atm (no module are anything) if the points have warn to a larger gap this will cause the coil to have less time to charge ( ie weaker spark, and amplified by the need for a stronger spark on boost) is my theory on this correct or fubar?

your opinions needed, cheers *tongue*

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

Hi,
Yes as the boost builds up the pressures in the cylinders are higher, so you need a strong spark. Lots of boost can blow the spark out!
Check all of the ignition system, plugs leads, cap, rotor, points and condensor.
Condensors are a pain in the arse.
I've had the same problem on a Cossie years ago, it was just a bad plug...
Go electronic asap, better still slap a megajolt on there!
Cheers,
Gavin :)

yes .thats true .
try closing up the points, and also .you can try running the plug gaps a bit closer ,give 25 thou a try ,i run my bike at 15 thou and that works well but you really want to run the biggest gap that will still work.
