It looks as if the two baulk rings either side of the 1st / 2nd selector are loose on the taper. Is this right? I

Ahh ok, yeah, that sounds right. Ive never rebuilt any sort of gearbox before, so wasnt sure about them.

with a small screw driver push the baulk rings back into the syncro's and pour plenty of oil over the syncro,s, they will grab when dry making the box very stiff or even lock up.
