what carb needle/setup for my 998 turbo?????

whats my starting point, i have a standard metty turbo carb, will i need to change the needle?

You will need to custom make a needle.

I started with a BDD iirc. but it's the same as any other SU fueling, get a needle and set the idle then start filing.

do you know what the standard metro turbo needle is?

BDD i'll make a note of that!

never done anything like filing a carb needle, heard & seen it but i'm a lil heavy handed with stuff like that!

if i use a colourtune & my basic knowledge to get the idle revv & mixture correct, i'm not sure where i'd go from that point really reguarding filing a needle, i'll get the yellow book out, i've seen an article regurding this before & cant remebr where! a how-to!

i'm nervous now! :S

found it bat, cheers bud, i'll have to take that bit slow, i buy some emery paper! or could i use 1000 or 1500 wetn dry!

Other than feel have you got a way to check the fuelling? i.e. lambda sensor and gauge?

RR might be your best option.

i can a rr session in before avon i'll do so! i'll get a gauge & i can get the starting point from there cant i

i was contemplating a luminition AFR gauge that was on ebay! it wired into the lambda

Are you using MS or MJ?

not sure if the MJ has lambda input. MS does so you can use a laptop rather than a gauge.

But yes that's all you need. If you do a good job, you should just need the RR for a confidence check and a banana figure.

If you ask nicely, someone on the forum, close to you, might pop over for an evening to give you some pointers.
