Am I right in thinking that the rear tracking on the metros is done by shimming out the rear arms?

I'm pretty sure it can yes,

IIRC ther are two brackets, one that bolts to the subframe that can be shimmes to give more toe out, and another that bolts to that that can be filled to give more camber.
