a mate of mine (honest) has been caught doing 40mph in a 30 zone what is the punishment for this?
no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

yeah i saw a totaled vectra this morning, cleaned out a lamp post and then up a bank. totalled it! |

saxo was totaled on a rounderbout next to my house. the thing is that rounderbout should be taken no more than 20mph max!

with a mobile police camera i thought they stop you and tell you whats what, which would of been £60 and 3 points.

you should get the book thrown at you for speeding. if a child was crossing the road you could have killed them, have you not seen the advert with the girl saying if you had hit me at 30 etc and the sound of the bones breaking?

To be honest I have never done anything more than 30 in a 30 or 40 in a 40, just because it isn't that hard to keep to the limit and also because of the risk to pedestirans. But on that day I got caught I was passing someone who was doing 40 in a 60 and when I was passing them (on the overtaking lane) they gunned it. I HAD to get infront as I knew after the overtaking lane was gone they would be back to 40 in a 60 again and I was late for a job interview! 5 seconds of excessive speed during a 1 and a half hour trip spent under the speed limit and that was when there was a camera in a van! Aw well, I did the crime I do the time etc. Gripe over. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

Unfortuneately no. He's just a camera guy. I've had that a lot, people who are happy to do 20 less than the speed limit until someone wants to pass. It's a bad road for that. I didn't get the job either! On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:
