Theres a couple of shear bolts holding on various bits around the steering column/pedal box area.

yes its a captive nut if its the one i'm thinking off. try the end with the sheared off bit. usually some good pliers or put a nick in it usually helps.

I did mine and it was a right ballache, i ended up using a dremel to cut off the domed head, took about an hour lying on my back for the both of em. 133.5 bhp 123 lb torque 116mph @6640rpm 9.5psi

These bolts are one of the few places that easy-outs are useful as they just need 'cracking' usually.
