I would assume it more likely to be boost related than RPM.

Rpm as the controller works of rpm ,or is it trial and error method.

dunno, my guess would be around 2500-3000RPM as thats when the boost really starts to rise, and roughly where max ign advance should be.

i dont think theres many, if any, that use water injection on here. now imho that says a lot.

when to inject it would be different on eaach engine id have thought

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

I know plenty of people who have used water injection on turbo minis, they have all taken it off again.

I personally wouldn't bother with it, it is a band aid cure, with megajolt etc so cheap to get the ignition right, and wide band lambda sensors to monitor fuelling, there is no need for it in 2007.

I'm not sure I agree. If you could inject it along with everything else and properly, it's not a band aid. It CAN suppress detonation etc, so if used properly it may help. It's a lot of work for little gain for sure. but if you're after the nth, why not? Digitally injected along with N2O. vrooom!

Hi,
Your best bet would be to fit a pressure switch in the inlet manifold to trigger it.
You used to be able to buy adjustable ones for the job.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

pressure switch can be got from ebay for a couple of pounds

the down side of a pressure switch would be when you back off or change gear the water stops but the temp is still high. personaly i've not found it a problem though and you could fit a true delay off timer set for a couple of seconds.

the problem with switching on revs is that it needs to de on at full boost and this could be 3500rpm so would need to come on before this. say 3000rpm. on a motorway cruising at 4000rpm or more and at no boost the water would still be on and you would need a right hand fuel tank full on water to run the system

Hi,
I guess you could fit a WOT switch to arm the system then set it to 3-3.5K RPM?
Cheers,
Gavin :)

You could run it off a MJ to inject at a set boost or a set rpm or both!

I agree, there's multiple outputs that could be used for this.
