i'm after a reconditioning kit for my spare gearbox, the box does'nt seem bad at all but gonna do a recon anyway

get the minispares re-build kit without diff parts then chuck a 4-pin diff in.

yep dont bother getting them from minisport they were in stock when ai ordered them and had a month wait until i got them! Just get stuck in they arent as hard as they look! just take your time and use plenty oil lube on the baulk rings! Edited by Star Mag on 26th Jul, 2007. |

anton & anyone else do you really think i should be considering the cross-pin diff?

Anton, i've just chked out your previous diff pin woes, holy cack-in-my-pants!!! with less than 100hp it went bang, i understand about the planets elding to the pin etc, i can understand why you keep insisting in a twin pin diff now!!!!!!!

Its not power that will kill the diff, its torque. A turbo engine will have more torque than a NA engine. I wouldn't consider a cross pin diff, I'd mark it down as a MUST.
