well i was cleaning my spare dizzy before welding it to lock it!
i was using methylated spirits (the purple stuff)

i had a lil bit on my hands but my hands were dry or so i thought!!!!!

i know it was the wrong thing to do but i gave wearing gloves a miss to basicly "tack" the dizzy when.........fooooook me!!! as soon as i sparked up the welder my hand was frickin on fire!!!!

i was laughing at the time but now my skin is peeling & a bit painful & seems to be getting worse, what a nonce, will i learn, a lil maybe! my sis is a nurse so she'll sort my injurie out!

plz to all, dont take health & saftey to lightly when ya in ya garage, i have had way too many injuries being lax

lol feels like sunburn but 20 times worse, skin is still peeling for some reason, what a nob! & my gloves caught fire earlier ths week whilst welding & i did'nt notice as i was doing quite a long run of weld, fate played a lil part i reckon!!! i was more suprised that the meths still lit-up although my hands to me seemed dry after using it! just shows,

skin is starting to break today, i'll hold back the pics & it frickin kills! lesson learnt, i've hoaxed 3 pairs of real welding gaunlets frm the depths of the garage!

sis has told me to put lots of aloe-vera on it, seems to be working so far

plz all be careful, i'll not be taking stuff in the garage as lightly again

My neighbour did a cracker a few years ago in his garage. Changed the fuel filter on his van, unfortunately with no lead light available he used a 1000Watt halogen flood light!!!!!

Can guess the rest! Be careful lads.
