Not getting any fuel through to plugs! I put it down to the timing. Can the timing be out, if you have both dots lined up on the cogs, and when you put the cover on the line on pully lines up with the mark on the case? swoped carbs anyone else any thought why no fuel? thanks

I think you would still get fuel through to the cylinders even if the timing was way out..

Sounds weird, are the new carb is functioing correctly?

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

the cam timing you have set is a ball park figure for standard engines
anyway as clubby stated you still should have fuel

have you plumbed the carb in right ?

have you plumbed the fuel regulator right ?

if so the float needle jet will be stuck in the carb
hope this helps ......keep us posted

Hi,
So it's got the mechanical pump on the back of the block?
If so do you get any fuel coming out of it when you crank the engine over?
Cam timing is not a problem with this type of pump :)
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Hi,
Thats what you'll get, there's only one lobe on the cam. Each time it goes past the pump it pushes the fuel out.
Sounds like carb, but you've changed that.
Is the one you put on a good one?
What work has been carried out on the engine?
Are the tappets / valve clearances set right?
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Hi,
Wouldn't have thought a 1275 carb would stop you starting it. Did the carb come off a running engine?
Cheers,
Gavin :)
