I have a problem with my fuel Pump. Suddenly the fuse of the fuel pump burned. I replaced it and then the same happened again. I use a 30A fuse. Anybody knows what the problem might be? The pump itself was working fine before that. Do you know if there is a fuse with more Ampers? Am I going to have a problem if I do a bridge and skip the fuse?

Does the pump run and sound OK when you replace the fuse? Are all the connections sound? Good earth?

I would not bridge the fuse out, this could cause an electrical fire.
Instead find the fault.

When i replace the fuse the pump doesn't start at all. The fuse brakes immediately. I tried the pump without the fuse and works fine.

Sounds like a wiring fault somewhere then, start looking.

Hi,
Try disconnecting the wire from the pump first. Fit new fuse and switch on. If it blows the fuse then it's wiring shorted, if not it's the pump. You should be using a 20amp fuse too!
Cheers,
Gavin :)
