Still finding it hard work to restart the car after it's had a good thrash and leaving it stood for 15 mins or so, due to fuel vapourizing out of the carb.
Just wondering if a jetski primer.....

Squirt a bit of fuel into the inlet manifold would help.

Could even remove the choke flap for better flow.

Or my other idea is a 600g bottle of Co2 and purge some through the pipe the water normally goes through on the inlet manifold.

I have the uno turbo fan blowing at the carb, with the std heatsheild but things are still getting rather hot round the back

Hi,
I hate to have any thing to do with Renaults, but how about adapting the R5 setup where the fan blows through the carb?
Cheers,
Gavin :)

If it is that big of a problem, then turn your fuel off 30 seconds or so before the engine. Next time you start, a nice slug of cool fuel into the float chamber will no-doubt help things.

It also means there is less fuel to evaporate after shutdown - another usefull aspect.

Have you got the standard bi-metallic jet in there still?
