Does anyone know of a company that sells a cwp lower than 3.44:1 for use with an lsd.
Used this configeration last year at combe and found I was flat out about a third the way down the straight, so i'm looking for a higher top end.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

You need to look into machining your LSD to get the smaller ones in, the best option is to flog that and get the new quaife i'd say.

there are some posts by i think turboharry that shows the maching of his LSD to fit some of the higher FD's

Thanks i'll have a search under his username.
I did carry out a string search before posting the topic.
As for top speed it could only be an educated guess, but on the rr a few weeks previous 6850rpm was 109mph and I was over 7k but with a not so steady rev counter its hard to say how much over.
That last turn into the straight is very fast in the dry so there's not to much extra speed before your flat out.

Anything with a numberically lower crownwheel than a 3.44 that is machined to CWP dims will be weakened. Maybe you should consider selling your current LSD and purchasing a quaife?

Thanks for the advise.
Just got off the phone with quaife and if I understand correctly the ATB diff is compatable with a normal cwp which is avaliable as a 2.9 (think I saw 2.7 listed somewhere).
If thats the case does anyone have experiance running an ATB diff and is the non lsd cwp as strong as the lsd type.

ask Nic as he's the only person i know who is running one.

good enough to be only the second road legal car on here to dip into the 12's on the strip.

i plan to run one next year if funds allow.

My road car (focus RS) has one and it certainly helps fast road driving.

Just read this link to his diff change out,
soon as I track down cheapest supplier, i'll try the one he used and i'll lighten my wallet by said 500 odd quid.

The best £500 you'll ever spend on the car. That's a fact.

You wern't wrong Tom.
Changed the diff for an ATB with 2.7 cwp.
Also fitted a new steering rack and have had the flywheel and backplate skimmed to take out a bit of heat distorsion.
Its a completly different drive, even on bumpy roads its completly drivable under full throttle.
The gears are now a lot longer but this suits the long power band of the supercharger.
Its going to be intresting to see what difference it will make next Saturday at coombe.
