Bought a curley battery box. I think it looks alright now its fitted with some extra love bolted on.

Thinking of buying another one, making it look the same, and mounting behind the drivers seat, to put tools and shit in.

I think it is where the fuel lines for the injection cars pass over the rear subframe?

Another option for seat mount is to go onto the sill and the centre tunnel - using the front cross member as well - have done this with the seat in the gold car and its rock solid

Mine was bolted to the floor and moved around loads. I now have two square-section bars that run from sill to tunnel which the seat is mounted on.

My car is currently having panels etc welded. While it's in his unit i want to have whats described above carried out too.

is it possible someone has a picture or 2 so i can describe to him what i'm after/show him so he can fabricate it?

ps. i knew i had seen this post - and i have just spent the last hour looking for it haha.

Alright chaps, havnt updated this in a while so thought I would.

Sprayed the parts of the interior that will be visible and the boot.

Fit the backbox.

Some bits back from powder coating.

85

Got the brake lines, pedal box and master cylinders fitted. Along with the handbrake.

Got back to work on the engine.

Rebuilt the Weber 45.

Pulled my finger out and got the engine assembled.

Havnt finished making the alternator mounts, gonan try and get a shorter belt so it sits closer to the block.

It is time...

Next job is to fit the carb and run the fuel lines, and start fitting the necessary engine bay bits.

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Very nice.

I like what you've done with the alternator bracket. Might have to pinch that idea.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Hallo peoples,

Bit of an update, been working over the past few days, getting the manifold, link pipe and silencer fitted, running fuel lines.

Cleaned it up, sprayed it black then fitted the Gear linkage shizzle.

Made a stainless 'ultimate engine steady' type thing. Fingers crossed it doesnt leak at the thermostat housing...

Going to crack on tomorrow, finish mounting the rad. Got a couple more tabs to weld onto it to fix it securely.

So yeah, thats all for now. Hopefully going to get it sprayed in January once my student loan comes through! Mwahahaha!

Cheers,

Ben.
