I there, I want to put a high level output (speaker output of hifi) into a low level (line level) input on an amp. Is it just a case of putting a resistor in between?

No, don't think so. Easiest way is to pop into your local car stereo place and pick up a converter, plug in, job done. :)

Think they use a tranformer,you can get them in Halfords
